Know the truck
behind the picture.
Identity, condition and configuration should tell the same story. Ask for the record that connects them.
Start with the details ↓
One image cannot do every job.
An appearance study explains a design. An actual-unit photo set shows what was photographed on a particular occasion. A scoped inspection records findings within its limits. Keep the source, date and vehicle identity with each one.
Preserve the context.
Ask for wide views as well as close details. Keep originals separate from crops. Known damage and modifications belong in the record rather than being removed from the photographs. Anything requiring lifting or powered equipment belongs with a qualified person.
A familiar code is the beginning.
Ask what the record identifies and which configuration it covers. Engine shorthand, a manufacturer specification and an approval document are not interchangeable. Use the document guide for the separate questions before making a commitment.
One useful distinction.
